A longtime employee for the Jewish Federation of Fort Worth Texas is accused of stealing almost $1M from the charity.
The former controller worked for the charity for 18 years and is now facing charges of bank fraud. The woman allegedly passed checks payable to herself using forged signatures from officials of the charity between January 2013 and August 2018.
It was discovered that before an audit, the former employee would falsify financial records and move money between accounts to hide her scam.
