The New York Post reported recently that Bonnier Publications was bilked out of $3M by suspected Chinese hackers who commandeered an exec’s email and instructed other employees to transfer funds to a Chinese bank.
Luckily, the company was able to catch on in time to retrieve half the funds before the transfer was completed. Most importantly, the company hopes to recover some of the lost funds because they have insurance. Get the full story here.
